Glentrool
Starting from the Glentrool Visitor Centre, a little more to the north of Kirroughtree and in the heart of the Galloway Forest Park, these trails wind through the forest and have fabulous views of lochs and hills.
The Big Country Circuit is entirely on minor and forest roads with no singletrack but some challenging climbs. The route is ungraded and has been said to be even more challenging than your usual black grade route!
There are also two green and one blue trails that are mostly singletrack and a café to stop off at after a hard day out on the trails. There are also some lovely walks around the café if someone in your party prefers a gentle stroll.
