Loch Carron, Lochcarron, Strathcarron, Glen Carron - it is all a bit confusing, but all together they are in a quite heavenly part of Scotland just north of Kyle of Lochalsh and the bridge across to the Isle of Skye.

Lots to See and Do
Loch Carron is the hill-fringed sea loch right across from the Isle of Skye, with wonderful views of the distant Cuillins. Lochcarron is the pretty village, with shops, restaurants and golf course, along its northern shore, from where the road will take you northwest to the incomparable Applecross peninsula and on to the majestic mountains of Torridon.
Strathcarron is the hamlet at the head of the loch, with hotel, café and railway halt, from which the train goes through Glen Carron to Inverness on what has been officially designated one of the most scenic rail journeys in the world!
