Acharacle
This is a typical wee highland village, scattered around the head of Loch Shiel in the north of Ardnamurchan, with such useful facilities as a general store, bakery, café and post office, which serves all the surrounding area.
Just over the hill there are great beaches at Dorlin dominated by the ruin of Castle Tioram, and Kentra Bay while the silver sands of Morar, the golf course at Traigh, Arisaig and Mallaig can all be reached in under an hour.
