Drummore
Situated at the southern end of the Rhins of Galloway (a peninsula which extends from the unspoilt south west corner of Scotland into the Irish Sea) is Drummore. It is Scotland's most southerly village and is even further south than the English cities of Durham and Carlisle!
The harbour was originally built to aid the area's lime-making industry and later used by the Ministry of Defence. It is now owned by a trust and is a peaceful home to various leisure crafts. The village has some shops and a pub.
