Overview

Once a much-loved family home the detached cottage offers plenty of open space for kids and loved ones to lounge. Entering the house, a bench is placed for guests to remove outdoor apparel before making your way into the large hallway. Either side of the hallway space is the living room (right) and the dining room and kitchen (left). The living space is decorated with flourishes of trinkets and paintings, comfy seating and a wood-burning stove. Cosy up with a book from the shelf or look for wildlife gracing Anagach Woods from the east and south facing windows.

The combined dining room and kitchen has sufficient seating for 10, a large range style electric cooker and a small sofa, also with windows facing towards the woods. The utility space is ideal with convenient access from the back door to the downstairs WC. There is a washing machine, large ceiling clothes airer and plenty of hooks for outdoor clothing. An extra sink, extra gas LPG cooker and huge cupboard for extra food storage space are all provided for added convenience. Just to the right of the stairs leads you to another WC with a shower. Adjacent to here is a double bedroom, with a view looking towards the rear of the garden.

Upstairs, you’re met with a spacious landing leading to 5 bedrooms. On the left of the stairs, a double bedroom, straight on reveals a quasi-twin room with a single and small double bed, and to the right of there a king-size bedroom. The right side of the staircase leads to a twin room with a desk and a double bedroom. A family bathroom with a shower/ bath, and a smaller WC and shower serve residents upstairs, reducing the morning rush for the shower.

The seating and patio area is outside the front door and faces towards the south and east, so guests can watch the sunrise over the Anagach Forest trees, or from the comfort of the communal space inside. The house and garden are enclosed so dogs and kids are free to roam.

Hearthside is the perfect location for those looking to get away from busy life and settle into a cosy town with plenty of adventure.
