St Monans
This picturesque wee fishing village lies on the north shore of the Firth of Forth, in the East Neuk of Fife in central Scotland. Pretty St Monans, with its historic harbour, looks out over the North Sea across to the wildlife-rich Isle of May.
A walk along the coast path gives you a further insight into the area's interesting history, taking you past the striking remains of Newark Castle and Ardross Castle, as well as the turreted Elie Lighthouse and the rather haunting Ladies Tower on the edge of the cliffs.
